All of the places I’ve lived throughout my life

As I mentioned in my eight weird facts about myself post, I have lived in more than my fair share of places. As of today, the grand total of places I’ve lived includes 3 countries, 5 states, 8 cities, and 15 different homes. The longest I’ve ever been in one place was 12 years and that was the last house I lived in with my husband and kids before moving to our current home.

Of all the places I’ve lived, Pittsburgh, PA is the place I’ve spent the longest time (28 years total!!), and it’s the place that I consider home.

Though, if you ask anyone from Pittsburgh, I still wouldn’t be considered a native Pittsburgher (AKA, a Yinzer), since most people with that distinction have lived in the same home for 3 generations (at least). Or have lived a block away from their entire extended families for their whole lives. None of which has ever been the case for me.

Maybe my kids have a fighting chance. 😂

Here’s the breakdown of all of the places I’ve lived:

Countries:

  1. United States
  2. Australia
  3. England

States:

  1. Ohio
  2. Michigan
  3. Pennsylvania
  4. New York
  5. Missouri

Cities:

  1. Cincinnati, OH
  2. Bloomfield Hills, MI
  3. Pittsburgh, PA
  4. Philadelphia, PA
  5. Rochester, NY
  6. Adelaide, South Australia
  7. St. Louis, MO
  8. London, England

Homes:

  1. Cincinnati: 3 houses
  2. Michigan: 1 house
  3. Pittsburgh: 5 houses – 2 as a kid and 3 as an adult
  4. Philadelphia: 2 houses
  5. Rochester: 1 place (I’m counting it as 1 since I lived in the dorms on campus)
  6. Australia: 1 flat
  7. St. Louis: 1 apartment
  8. London: 1 flat

What about you? Have you moved around a lot in your lifetime or have you live in the same place your whole life?
